anyways, i just realised that there is a pistol in the background. next time you makes one, try to let the render be in the foreground, rather than the back, as it is now.

The pistol clashed pretty badly with the title; I thought I'd just make it part of the background. Thanks for the advice though. I'll make sure to consider it next time.

I chewed a piece of cinnamon-flavoured gum, spit it out, and glued it to a sheet of paper, whereupon I put a bit of tape on top of the glue, then scanned the whole thing. And voila!!

I used photoshop 7 and a heck lot of brushes. Obsidian dawn ftw!!! I wish I had CS3 though. D:

Basically what I did was I made the background of the gun transparent, and just made about 7 layers in total on the main image, piling on the red and black with different types of brushes. I used more spongey, textured brushes for the bottom few layers, then used the dripping/liquid brushes in red for what hopefully look like blood splotches on the top layers. I sandwiched the gun between a couple of those black/red layers (although according to Flash I should have had them a bit higher) and then used the blur tool with the setting on 'darken' on the the handle thingy of the gun and a bit around the left edge.
For the text, I used "Nightmare" as a font, which can be downloaded at dafonts.com or something...
I then rasterized the text and added an outer glow to it in red. Finally, I did a border of about 7 around the whole image and feathered it to 4 pixels, tracing around the border twice in white.

Uh well...
I got my laptop new from the US and it didn't come with photoshop, whereas my old laptop /did/ have photoshop. And I can't survive without photoshop!!! So I told my dad I needed photoshop and he somehow got it for me...
It might be purchased, but more likely than not it's probably illegal. :X
